Washington Adventist and Shady Grove Adventist hospitals were the official medical partners for the Sister to Sister Women’s Heart Health Fair held recently at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The annual event aims to teach local women about heart health through education and free screenings, provided by the Health & Wellness Department of Adventist HealthCare (AHC) and the two hospitals.

This is the ninth year that AHC has provided important heart-health tests and screenings for the thousands of people who attend the annual fair sponsored by the national Sister to Sister: The Women’s Heart Health Foundation. This year, 3,622 people attended the fair and 746 people were screened for heart health, and local news outlets interviewed several representatives from the two hospitals.
