Washington Adventist Hospital (WAH) in Takoma Park, Md., appointed Pastor Franklin David (pictured) of Burtonsville, Md., to its governing board. David is senior pastor of the Southern Asian church in Silver Spring, Md., and is a third generation pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. He has also worked as a medical technologist and a hospital administrator in India and in mid-management at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

“I am pleased to welcome Pastor David to the governing board," said Jere D. Stocks, WAH president. "One of the elements of our Vision for Expanded Access is to redevelop our board to better reflect the communities we serve. Pastor David has a deep appreciation for the hospital’s mission and brings valuable insight to our board that will further build on Washington Adventist Hospital’s vision of expanding health access to the communities we serve.”
