Ken Osborne, a member of Chesapeake Conference’s Spencerville church and North American Division associate treasurer, was voted treasurer for the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD). He served 12 years in his previous position. Osborne, who is a third-generation missionary, grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, and Montevideo, Uruguay. Although he spent four years at Reading Rehabilitation Hospital, then owned and operated by the Pennsylvania Conference, much of his experience has been in the mission field. Their family spent two years in Bangkok, Thailand; four years at Taiwan Adventist College and Academy; and six years in Zimbabwe.
“Our identity family-wise revolves around our missionary experiences,” he said. “Even our children keep going back abroad as [opportunities] arise. Once you’ve been a missionary it’s always there in your blood.”

Osborne adds that he was excited to listen to reports of how the Lord was working to grow the Seventh-day Adventist Church in NSD and is thrilled that he and his wife, Ivanette, will now be a part of the process.
