480 Communicators Report on GC Session

Story and Video by Celeste Ryan Blyden

While our goal is to let you know what’s happening with Columbia Union members and delegates, we’re not the only ones keeping our members back home informed. According to Carol Little, administrative assistant in the GC Communication Department, 480 communicators registered for press credentials. They’re writing, blogging, taking photos, producing videos, tweeting, and even hosting their radio shows from the pressroom high up in the Georgia Dome overlooking the floor.

Last night I met Francisco Medina, president of Radio La Voz Internacional, a station operated by the Venezuelan Union. He says they broadcast 24/7 on radio, satellite and Internet, and they have listeners around their country and the world. “Through the Internet, we even have listeners in New Jersey and Maryland,” he says. Medina and his team are broadcasting live from GC Session. To learn more about his ministry or listen live, visit www.lavozinternacional.org or watch this video clip.
