Meet Some of This Year’s Men of Honor

Frederick Craig, Dupont Park Church
Spirit Of Community Award Recipient

Fred Craig is a humble Christian gentleman who has been active in many facets of church ministry since his teens: Chancel Choir, Pathfinder leader, achieving the highest level of service in that organization. Recently, Fred responded to the need for more African-American bone marrow donors and became a donor for two unknown recipients.

Ronald Bynum, New Life Church
Unsung Hero Award Recipient

“Uncle Ron,” as he is fondly called, has dedicated his life of service to God, family, community and specifically to the youth of the church. He has been a Pathfinder leader, is a driver, a chaperone and a financial contributor where needed. He always has a big smile, a big hug, a big heart and a humble spirit.

Jonathan Walters, Breath of Life church
Helping Hand Award Recipient

As a single young man, Jonathan is a positive role model for both the young and the old. He uses his personal resources to reach out to at-risk teens, has provided a home for the homeless, given financial assistance and spiritual guidance. He is an example of a man of God who is willing to do the will of God.
