One of New Jersey Conference’s ministry goals is to provide wholesome, year-round recreational opportunities where youth and young adults can invite friends and enjoy themselves. This year, around 240 ski and snowboard enthusiasts gathered at Montage Mountain Resorts in the Poconos for fellowship and to sharpen their skills on the slopes.
Building friendships is vital for kingdom growth. This involves creating and sharing memorable moments with others. Sometimes Christians forget the wise words found in Ecclesiastes 3:1: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (NIV). Taking a balanced approach to personal and spiritual growth helps Seventh-day Adventists see others as individuals with dreams and desires that God also longs to fulfill.
Sharing one’s faith goes beyond teaching biblical truths; it involves living, breathing and testifying to a life that embraces God—even on the slopes.
