Columbia Union Pastors Participate in Preaching Class

Story by Juliana Savoy

This summer 21pastors, many from the Columbia Union Conference, enrolled in the “Seminar in Preaching Class,” offered by the Institute of Hispanic Ministry (IHM) at Andrews University (Mich.) Evangelist Alejandro Bullón taught the class at Potomac Conference’s Washington Spanish church in Silver Spring, Md. Seventeen additional pastors attended and assisted with the course.

"Students and pastors were blessed by the class Alejandro Bullon presented. For several years Columbia Union have sponsored AU Masters in Pastoral Ministry for our Hispanic pastors. In this occasion, besides de regular students, pastors and VLPs were invited to attend," says Rubén Ramos, Columbia union vice president for Multilingual Ministries. "Elder Bullon is the most admired and inspiring preacher and evangelist for the Latino (Spanish & Portuguese) world church. Effective and Biblical preaching principles were presented. Our pastors learn to be creative using Christ method for evangelism.  All were enriched and inspired to be more effective God’s instruments."
