Kettering College is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Schultz, PhD, DNP, RN, as its next Dean of Nursing & Academic Excellence. Dr. Schultz will officially begin her role on July 6, 2026.
Schultz was selected following a comprehensive national search that included input from faculty, staff, healthcare partners, and community members. She emerged as the top candidate due to her clear communication, collaborative leadership style, and strong alignment with the mission and values of Kettering College.
An accomplished nursing leader, Schultz currently serves as Chair of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at Xavier University. She brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing education, including expertise in divisional leadership, accreditation, faculty development, budgeting, and mission-centered academic administration.
Previously, Schultz served as the Founding Program Director at Manchester University, where she successfully launched new nursing programs, guided institutions through rigorous accreditation processes, and led initiatives that improved student outcomes, including NCLEX pass rates.
In her new role, Dr. Schultz will provide strategic leadership for Kettering College’s nursing programs and support the advancement of academic excellence across the institution. She is known for her steady, practical approach to leadership and her ability to implement priorities in ways that strengthen both people and programs.
“I am particularly drawn to this role because of Kettering College’s emphasis on integrating faith, learning, and service,” said Dr. Schultz. “Throughout my career, I have intentionally incorporated spirituality, ethics, and mission into nursing education, faculty development, and leadership practice.”
Kettering College leadership expressed confidence in Dr. Schultz’s ability to build upon the college’s strong foundation and continue preparing graduates for meaningful careers in healthcare.
