Kettering College (KC) recently held their first Giving Day. During those 24 hours, students, alumni, and friends of the college came together to make a difference for future generations of KC students, while celebrating 50 years of excellence, service and innovation.

Collective is a student-led Friday evening worship service and fellowship meal held in homes where students and faculty of Kettering College in Dayton, Ohio, can share their stories and worship together.
As Kettering is not a residential campus, many of the students live in a very segmented world, says Steve Carlson (pictured), campus chaplain. They drive in for class and then go home, often only interacting with others within their own program.

On Sunday, May 21, Kettering College and Kettering Medical Center participated in a full-scale mass casualty emergency preparedness exercise.
The exercise used intentional simulations to assess emergency procedures and medical responses to a mass casualty incident involving elements of terrorism and an active shooter incident. This simulation included mock wounds and sound effects to create a more realistic setting, and it was one of the largest exercises of this kind in the Dayton area.

On Saturday, April 29, Kettering College will confer degrees and certificates on 200 students at the school’s 49th annual commencement ceremonies. The event will be held at the Dayton Convention Center. Dr. Jonathan Velasco, an alum of Kettering College and surgeon at Kettering Physician Network Surgery—Dayton Surgeons, will be the keynote speaker. This year will also commemorate Kettering College’s 50th anniversary.
