Marriage is a miracle; two very different people decide to live together and begin a home enterprise, echoing the divine command: “Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” (Gen. 2:24, KJV). When the disciples asked Jesus, “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matt. 24:3, NKJV), Jesus answered them by listing several signs that would occur before his second coming—including pestilence, such as COVID-19, and wars similar to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Jesus specifically mentions one sign that will mark the end of time: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matt. 24:14, NKJV).
